What is Mediation?
Mediation is a negotiation process facilitated by a neutral third party called a mediator.  Mediators do not unilaterally resolve disputes like judges and arbitrators, but instead help the parties agree to a mutually beneficial resolution.

This approach offers several distinct advantages over traditional litigation:
+ Mediation is less costly - it does not involve court fees and usually requires less in attorney fees.
+ Mediation is faster than court litigation - there are no formality requirements and scheduling is easier.
+ Mediation is private - unlike most court hearings, mediation sessions are strictly confidential.
In short, mediation has become an effective tool in resolving conflicts of all types.

Mediation is often a better approach than litigation.  The confidentiality, informality, and potential for a mutually beneficial resolution make the process particularly well-suited for private family law and confidential business law matters.
